9/25/2019 Iphone Keeps Asking For Password
My iPhone 7 keeps asking for Apple ID password. This happens every time I unlock my iPhone, and while I’m using an app. If I cancel the request, the dialog box comes back a few seconds later.
If you've recently setup or restored your iPhone from a backup, and it keeps asking for somebody else's iTunes account or Apple ID password, follow this guide to fix the problem. Background The most likely reason this is happening is that you have songs (or apps) in your library from another person. When your iPhone restores from a backup, it steps through each song and if the song was originally purchased by someone other than you, it prompts you to login as that other person. The above happens every time it encounters another song. That's why it seems like it keeps asking for the same password over and over again. Fixing It There's two ways to fix this, besides erasing your entire iPhone and just starting fresh. Delete the affected songs.
Stop the in-progress restore Delete the affected songs This is the method I chose because I didn't want to have to deal with this again during my next upgrade. Use the iTunes script for $1.99 on your Mac to find and delete the affected songs.
Then, sync your old iPhone with iTunes, manually back it up, and then restore again from your new iPhone. Stop the in-progress restore Some have discovered that stopping the restore in-progress prevents these errors. This is likely because iOS stops trying to resolve the unauthenticated music. This goes into more detail about this solution.
